We're delighted to unveil our three Competitions for Ramadan 2023:
1. Most Creative Strava or Komoot Art Competition
To enter our Most Creative Strava or Komoot Art Competition:
(a) Follow us on Instagram: @Fasted500
(b) During Ramadan, use your GPS device (or mobile phone with the Strava or Komoot app installed) to create a picture using your chosen cycling route -- preferably with a Ramadan and/or cycling theme -- and, after your ride, upload that as a picture to your Instagram page, accompanied with the important hashtag #Fasted500. Here are some examples!
(c) Make sure your profile is set to public as without that, we won't be able to see your entry or hashtag!
One lucky winner will receive a custom, made in London, Mini Shazam handlebar/saddle bag from the good folk at Wizard Works, with a Fasted 500 roundel expertly woven on.

2. Most Inspirational Cyclist Competition
Do you know a Muslim cyclist who never fails to inspire you? You know, the one who always has your back and encourages you to be your best self?
Or the one who's saved your turkey bacon on that infamous century ride by sharing her snacks so you don't bonk? Perhaps he's been through some personal challenges and deserves some recognition for his awesomeness?
This one's for them. This competition will be announced during Ramadan on our Instagram page. Simply tag your inspirational cyclist in the comments section of that post with a brief description as to why, to you, they're a winner. You're also more than welcome to nominate yourself!
One lucky winner will, courtesy of Rapha UK, receive a £250 voucher to spent on items of their choosing from Rapha's online store, how lovely!
3. Community Champion Award!
Muslim cycling groups and the friendships and bonds which they foster are an incredible source of joy for so many of us. Often, they exist because someone (or often a small group of likeminded folks) put in the hard yards behind the scenes to ensure they continue to thrive. A lot of this is unglamorous work which doesn't see the light of day -- organisational prep, website development, catering arrangements, tidying up after the event, pastoral care, etc.
This award, which is sponsored by our good friends at Evolve Cycling Network, seeks to celebrate an individual who you consider to be your Community Champion! This competition will be announced during Ramadan on our Instagram page. Simply tag your chosen Community Champion in the comments section of that post with a brief description as to why, to you, they're a winner.
Once well-deserving winner will, courtesy of Evolve, receive a complimentary desi-style afternoon tea for two!
